The social Cap extensions look really good and as well thought out as the main Bivvy. Price is painful, but not surprising given they're the same material, with vents/mesh panels and cover a large area.
This threads been great to all involved, its made my bivvy replacement choice easier. Thanks all

For contact you are better off via facebook with one of the consultants, i usually just call Fox directly, but they never reveal anything about new products, even the consultants are usually only informed 24/48 hours before something new comes out

I seen this and was disappointed really seeing the tempest 150 aquatexx social cap is so much cheaper and just as good material, I was going to get an extension for my frontier x to use it when my daughter comes or when I go France think I'll just buy a separate 2 man bivvy now instead for that 🤣

Trick is to buy it at on a promotion, there are enough shopes that regularly give 20% discount, I buy one 100%

Frontier range currently available for about 20-25% below RRP, so assuming these will likewise retail below RRP so will be more like £350-380.

May sound daft but a quick question on pack down. Are you all leaving on the front infill on or stripping this off before storing in the bag. Also interested to know how compact your getting it. Are you folding the front 3 poles in on themselves 1st then folding back the elbows, or breaking down the elbows 1st and folding then bring in the front 3 poles before wrapping rolling the fabric. I picked up an X today found it simple to pop up but a right faff to compact back down to chuck in the bag.

Nice one cheers Zinno it's all about finding the right technique. I have been using an aqua M3 compact for a few years and the original squared pramhood style Frontier with the hinged locking molded elbows before that for over 10 yrs. On both of those I clearly remember it took me a few goes to get a pack down method that I was happy with without stressing poles or fabric.
