The illegals have already made Ireland their destination. Ireland reported the other week that they have no space for anyone, as they cannot cope with the hundreds of Ukrainians arriving, let alone the economic migrants who are now roaming the streets of Dublin.

of course the systems are in place, hence why there are people being sent back to Romania/Bulgaria on a daily basis because they think they can just rock up and work in a car wash for buttons like they did two years ago. One benefit of all this is the human trafficking side. You would not believe the amount of 16 year old girls who come from the aforementioned countries to work as "cleaners" yet would have just ended up into prostitution if it was not for the stricter entry requirements.

How much is a ferry these days? Just booked the train and it's coming out at around £170 return, which isn't shabby at all (baring in mind the train over there is at 02:30)

Just booked one for mid october. 2 people, Kuga with roof box. P&O leaving @ 06:30. Coming back with DFDS @ 13:15.

Anyone had any problems entering their Advanced Passenger Information. I have 3 booking references for Ferrysavers, P&O and DFDS but its not accepting any of them.

Hi Bob! Let's butt heads again. We have delayed checks on goods coming from the EU several times as the systems required are still not in place 6 years, yep 6 years after the vote to leave. So, no, we don't have any control over goods coming into the uk.
As for your other point, I thought we had taken back control? unless we haven't.
Dover is a bottle neck as thousands of people and vehicles are funnelled through a small area which the government refused to expand. Dover and Calais are unique for a host of reasons which is partly why you don't hear of problems in other countries. Dover and Calais are also gateways to other countries in Europe for people choosing to drive rather than fly.
Our conversations on these matters over the years illustrate the problem. Hard evidence and reality vs belief and wanting the world to be as you would like it to be.
I take no pleasure in the brexit ****show. It leaves us all worse off-unless you're wealthy enough to be insulated from the consequences.

If processing takes twice as long then the delays should be twice as long, under manning at the busiest time of the year seems to be the reason
I don't think anyone said Brexit would be an overnight success, I certainly didn't.
It's going to take time, I'm not super wealthy but I'm coping.
