Rats.

So I tried hanging the food in the tree. Got done by squirrels.

I'd be worried that Roland might chew through a soft cool bag type. That's why I use the hard plastic trakker one even if it's a bit small for a session.

Luckily there's plenty of shops near where I fish so I'm fortunate that I don't have to stock up

That's more than understandable and if my lake had a problem with them I'd be tempted to do the same.

In hot weather things like milk can turn in a matter of a few hours. Plus, who wants to drink warm drinks? Or eat sweaty sausage rolls etc?

dunno what crappy cool bag you must use ?

but my coolbag ( costco one) keeps everything ice cold easily for 24 to 48 hours no problem in the height of summer using my frozen bottle of water as an ice pack its never ever fully melted in 48 hours in my coolbag

I still use the small tracker one on short sessions just for my bacon and sausages and a few bits to keep them fresh .
If I'm on a session or France 🇫🇷 I take my Icytek 75 litre with 4 packs 👍


Both have a bottle opener within 😂

I don't, I use a box. I have a small igloo for a night or 2 and a large one for long sessions. Plus rats and mice can't chew through them which is a bonus. I was answering matey anyway about not using one at all Gerry

I've never had milk turn in a few hours in a cool bag.

I've had drinks stay cold for 48 hours in my nash 30 years coolbag, too. Just don't see the need for a coolbox.

Whatever suits you chap, there's no right or wrong answer. Never found a fishing branded bag that's really any good though Tbh.

I just don't think I could fish if I thought my chocolate hob nobs might melt. I couldn't take the stress.

If you wanted to make the ultimate cool box I'd have gone for.

Small lid opening (in addition to main) for milk only, it's what kills most by constantly opening.
A light that goes on when you open in the dark (I have one from eBay lashed on my current)
Easy to open (this looks like it's the case) as opposed to the Korda

even better 2 compartments with 2 lids so you dont have to open both all the time... yes I know you can get 2 boxes but it is not the same.
