That's exactly my point, banks full of knobs looking for likes. We dont see eye to eye at times but i do have you down as a deaccent law abiding bloke.

The worlds gone mad, may as well go along with it, I have a spool of silver solder from Welboune Labs. I have an add on eBay advertising 1 metre for £500. My thoughts are, people are paying a grand for a meter pair of cables and showing off about them, then talking about using a very good solder might excite them further.

I bid for 4 TFG padded rod sleeves and they sold for absolute crazy money, a couple of years ago I purchased the TFG Quiver & 5 Rod sleeves from Total Fishing, I paid £39.99 + p&p but had an accident in our laundry and knocked a tin of paint over and ruined 3 of the sleeves and though I was desperate to get hold of some sleeves, when the bidding got to £60 with 3 days still to go I gave up

I made just over £500 selling old Solar crap on eBay - interesting that two of the buyers simply put the stuff they'd bought off me straight back on eBay for even more than they paid me. None of it sold at their stupid prices from what I saw. I just thought it was hilarious that people were prepared to pay £30 for a line clip and other crap like that. I then found out old flavours sell for silly money and dug out several ancient bottles from Hutchinson, Kay, Kemp and even old Richworth flavours were snapped up. Crazy.

I sold four very sexy Solar line clips for £100, then replaced them with virtually identical Matrix clip's for about £24.

The market for ss3000s always gets me. You could buy 5 or 6 black tournaments brand new for the price of 3 really mint ones, or an equal number with complete bearing upgrades and spare spools.

Probably about 3/4 years ago on a day ticket mixed commercial I used to get stares at my gear from younger kids as they walked past. At the time I was using my old Solar gear, sod with front tri post, central ext bar, quiverlocs and other associated solar fixings. I thought at the time they were probably just curious as to what old tat the old fart was using ....little did I know they were probably lustful looks

Mate sold his, around 12 years old and IMO a crap mat, still, he's happy with £148 in his pocket instead, only cost him £60 years ago..
