I've got Century Carbon bank sticks buzz bars 2 rod 3 rod etc im happy there nice and light...doesn't catch me anymore than the fox black label stuff I used to have!! Looks good tho

On the back of that look at Tom Makers vlogs making that point with the Fox pod and alarms he's using he's making a point it doesn't affect his captures with lower priced equipment

I've just test driven my new Jag Mk2 Super Compact Adjustable - yes its effectively a skinny quattro but the adjustability is great (decent rod splay) and means I can get good distance between big reels . . .looked at the RP1 at a recent show and whilst def quicker to set up is small and a bit limited IMO . . .unless you are constantly swopping between 2 and 3 rod limit waters . . .

Has anyone got the Rp1 that had/has the nano/micro pod and how does it compare?

which one do you prefer ?

Two totally different pods. The rp1 is more versatile than the nano and can be used as single sticks and quicker to set up. Ive got the 316 rp1 and its a lovely pod but recently bought the new solar universal pod and that is superb. Its a bit more fiddly to set up than the rp1 but its much more versatile and will cover everything. I always thought solar were playing second fiddle to jag in the quality of there machining and finish but they have definitely caught them up now with there new range of pods. If i had to sell one it would be my rp1 which shows you how much i rate the universal.

I have both and love both!!! my excuse is I'm keeping the nano pod for my lad where in reality I'm not selling it as I like both...
I've got the nano wit 2 x nevs on 2+1 for days and fishing a canal basin I drop onto and I leave my delkims on the rp-1 for session fishing....
No sense I know having 2 pods but I'm mortgage free,no debts,kids and mrs want for nothing...we both work hard,so why not? like the 9ft se

Ive goty the RP1, had the nano/micro and the super compact before that

Personally I wasnt a fan of the micro/nano apart from the packdown size - I personally found that the uprights wouldnt lock unless you got the allen key out and youd get twist if fishing locked up and i didnt think it looked as nice as the others

The Super compact I really liked im a fan of goalpost set up anyway so couldnt grumble and it looked ace - I also liked to use it as a 2 rod set up with uprights so its a versatile piece of kit

The RP1 for me does everything - packs down small and isnt a faff to set up - the uprights ensure that its sturdy and I can take out the middle sections and fish a tarty 2 rod set up easy

You dont need to set it up on the bank to see its more versatile. You can tell just buy putting them side by side. I dont carp fish anymore so I wont be looking at them on the bank any time soon. One day the bug might return so you never know they might get an outing on the bank sometime in the future.

I will upgrade to the new jag pod in due time . For me the versatility to be able to take an alarm off easily makes it a no brainer.

In my opinion you can beat single sticks where possible and with the new jag pod it's easy to achieve
