Falling in the lake after being dropped off and having to wait all day for my lift back home.
Around 4pm In the month of February I had the lake to myself so I casted down wind to the end of the lake. I got in bivvy and fell straight asleep. I woke up thinking I'd only dozed for a few minutes but I'd slept solidly for 16 hours and there were several anglers that had set up to the right of me and obviously they'd got their lines over mine.

NOOOO mine was way before it was a 1956 like this one to start it you had to jump out open the bonnet and jump in and use the kick starter as it was basically a 197cc motorbike engine bolted to the front wheel (prior to this I had a Messerschmitt k200 but could not get my fishing gear in it )

When I was a kid, a fella down our road had one Gerry. It didn't tick over very well, and always seemed to cut out when he closed the bonnet. He was a big chap, and really not very agile.
I seem to think it was a Villiers engine, and didn't have reverse - could be wrong.

yes your right 3 speed villers 197cc no reverse around 45MPH unless you were going downhill with the wind behind you ! lol
but you could turn the front wheel at 90 deg so it would turn round in its own length the later ones had a bigger engine a twin cylinder

Worst experience ... zipper on my sleeping bag getting stuck, resulting in a terrible accident, not being able to pull me pants down in time, to dispose of an indian beef curry
