Reading all this it seems your all a bunch of Coffee snobs. Sod carrying all that lot just for a cup of coffee. Hardly drink coffee anyway so just carry a few instant sachets if the fancy takes me.

Reading this thread has twisted my arm and I've just ordered an aeropress. I'm looking forward to a decent coffee bankside! Now I need to go down the coffee rabbit hole (I use a Nespresso at home so hopefully, can take some direction from my favourite pods). I'm going in!

I've had an original Aeropress at home for years, bought the go for fishing, weighs next to nothing, very small and the carrier doubles up as your cup👍👍👍

I grind mine at home and use one of the tupperware pots with the manual vacuum pump, then store in the cool bag/box. I can't taste a difference this way vs fresh ground for about a week, I'm sure some would tho
I have to say tho, I'd rather drink instant from a China cup than the very best coffee on the planet from a metal or plastic cup, it's a waste of coffee if you get the vessel wrong!

The Go is the version I went for and for exactly that reason, it all fits into the cup. And if I wanted, I could still use it at home. Win win!

Ha ha! That's a fair point I guess. I like to maximise space (normally to end up taking more stuff!) so the fact everything went into one, small package was most appealing. But, it's better than instant, so I'm happy!
