I fish the Trent its 146 miles but its the only place Im confident that I can access an open space without seeing anyone else

my post is a bit tongue in cheek the truth is Im classed as clinically extremely vulnerable so unlikely I will be fishing during the lock down

Funny that my club has a couple of waters on a golf course and the golf club have told them they cant use them whilst they cant play

Amazing Gerry. Used to fish that in my youth, would never drive that far to fish there but I guess I take it for granted, around 1 hours drive for me

One of my local waters is also on a golf course, no idea how that works. Think I will keep away and avoid any possible grief.

Hii it is good to have a good idea. fishing depends on the weather condtions.
it basically says nothing has changed, no restrictions on travel or length of stay.

of which I hope is true, but they still shouldn't say a word until firm guidance from the central government

AT have literally told me within the last few mins, and I quote

"We don't know for definite"

Parliament debates this subject and others for the next few hours!

See I have this problem because in two weeks I'm meant to be fishing a lake about 1hr 20mins away from me, I contacted them to re arrange but they won't let me. The owner has said as far as he is concerned he is open and can't rearrange the session. So do I go that far or lose out on 4 days fishing that has already been paid for without a refund

He sounds like a real decent bloke..

You should ask him if he's willing to cover any fine you might get for unnecessary travel..

I will be going I was just saying that I'm in that sort of situation, the way I have to drive to the area is all country roads nearly the whole way so I'm not fussed about it. Just a bit mad when the owners won't actually let someone change there session to a couple weeks time (if we actually get out on the 2nd)
