Had a crack at one of the reels last night. What a carry on
One of the 3 stated spool capacities is 340m of 0.35mm.
I'd bought 300m/0.33mm (12lb) sensor to use as backing. Wound the full spool on and the reel spool was FULL!
So had to manually remove some back off and guess. Before winding the braid on, I decided to google retrieve per handle turn and found 36 inches quoted on a shimano website. Possibly lost count but wound somewhere in the region of 125-130 turns, so that equates to 115m which is near enough what I wanted. However, the spool looks overfilled now
So I will wind the braid back onto a spare spool and strip a little more mono before transferring the braid back on.
Think next time I'll just bite the bullet and buy a bulk spool of braid and worry much less about this job!

Ignore the stated spool capacity for starters, they are usually nonsense.
