I know what you are saying.....however I have had the Wychwood Tactical X since Christmas and have used it extensively. It is a very good bedchair for reasonable money.

Had a few over the years and this is definitely the best value for money.

I picked up a Fox Duralite bedchair system, after using an indulgence for a few years now the weight difference was an eye opener. Comfortable too. Recommended.

Surely the question that must be asked before discussing beds is do you sleep on your back or on your side?

Lumbar support when sleeping on your side is a right pain. I bought a Fox second hand R2 second hand. Sleeping on my side (as I do) it was the most uncomfortable bed I have lain on. I have virtually removed the lumbar support and now I can sleep on it.

So who sleeps on their side and what bedchair do you use and is it any good?

inflating mattress was the awser for me, i also sleep on my side, just don't inflate it too hard

I sleep on my side and I use one of the early
Indulgence wideboys with removable Fleece padding
In the centre. Between 10 and 15 years old.
Still very comfy. I also like the old style raised head

I have an old stealth bedchair and can do a night
On that too

100% agree with that !!!

I have a permanent shoulder injury and back issues and its totally impossible for me to sleep on my side but sleeping on my back or front is heaven on a firm to hard bed

the most nights I have slept in a session was 31 nights that was on a new Trakker ELS that I bought just before the trip and it was luxury perfect zero problems with back ache

I sleep on my sides ....Fox Fx recliner or the carp spirit magnum bedchair, which I recently got for short sessions. Used it once and it's very comfortable.

Whatever you do don't get a jrc rova, I sold my solar sp c tech to try to save on weight, I've not had good nights kip on it yet. It's going to be quickly demoted to the spare bedroom or sold. Do people actually test these things before selling them 🤔

Solar spc tech. IMO is the best on the market. After fishing for over 25 years nothing comes close.

I've just bought a solar ch08 as I couldn't stretch to the sp c tech.
Haven't used it in anger yet but had a little test in the lounge when it arrived, first impressions are it's firm but comfy but that suits me being a lump aswell doesn't sag even with my weight.
And at 200 quid I'd say it is well worth that, throw a sim on there if you really wanted to to increase comfort even more

Thing to remember with the solar is sitting in the edge does tend to make it sag in the middle, there isn't bungee straps to re tighten it eigther, my only gripes
