I like the look of these..one small question I'd like to ask..those who now have them..
When it rains,does the water settle on the top of the bivvy,or does it run away nicely..
The reason why I'm asking is I had a Chub tribrid,which was similar in design, and the water formed a big pool on the canopy,above the door..

I was out in mine on saturday and it rained A LOT! It seems strange but it's difficult to answer your question, the top is flat, so some rain does settle, but it's so taught that it's not a lot, it doesn't puddle.
When it started to dry up in the morning I tapped the bivvy to bead all the water off and a bit did stay on the top, I had to lean over and wipe it off.
Sorry, bit of an inconclusive answer.
I just don't get peoples issues with putting the bivvy up at all, it's so easy, peg the back in and then the front, using the groudsheet as a guide, for what it's worth, I leave the tension strap connected up.

My only concern was regarding no multiple height pegging points at the front.
So if your swim is not perfectly flat it could be a problem

I'm seriously considering selling my tempest Advanced 100 and buying one of these after seeing them in my local tackle shop.

Bought one of these with the extension.
Put it up in the garden and first impressions are:
Great shape
Great feel on material
Material is a little shiney for my liking
Ground sheet could be thicker
Nice weight
Easy to set up and pack away
Poles are a little bit difficult to take apart
Overall I'm very impressed out on the bank for three nights in it soon

bought the tactical compact and it was delivered today, paid £190 for it. first impressions are what a fantastic bivvy.
the shape is brilliant,my bedchair (wychwood tactical) pushes all the way to the back and when sitting on my bedchair my head doesn't hit the roof,I'm 5ft 8 so not the tallest.
the room at the front is plenty and will fit my rucksack, brew making,buckets etc and more usable space than my v2 tempest brolly.
relatively quick to set up. i have the compact so the standard bivvy must be huge. things I like,

quality of it seems great (time will tell)
pack down size is small
more usable space then my tempest brolly

Purchased the Compact version myself, used twice now, ticks all my boxes, easy to put up, compact but loads of usable space inside.. I'm 5” 11”.... my head doesn't touch the top ... material is fantastic.. put the door up in bright sunlight and it's pitch black inside...

Try pulling them 😂😂😂
Seriously they will loosen after a few uses...
Make sure you take the tension strap off as well and twist the poles under tension pushing upwards and it'll be easier.

I was a touch worried that the poles seemed quite snug, but after a few uses they are fine. When you pull them apart, hold the poles some distance from each other i.e not at the join, then you can wiggle the poles a bit and they come apart fine.
Still really happy with mine, I use the over wrap and it's luxury having the bed lengthways and a seat inside.
