I guess it depends on how long and how much one reads up on Rods I knew about Test Curves and Actions of Rods 25 years ago things haven't changed only the publicity marketing hype fashion and new comers to the sport, Rods haven't actually changed to much of course they are better one way or another but they haven't fundamentally changed.

I've 3 Armalites not sure if Mk 1's or 2's i was using them all the time up to about 5 years ago still have them but started fishing bigger waters i think 2 are a pair of 2.5's the other ones slightly lighter and different colour whipping ... I now fish with 3.25 torrix they are fantastic ... its sad i'm not using them anymore my best was a 3olb common on them ... they feel so soft now... but will get used again this summer in Cornwall.
