That's my thinking. If I buy cyprinus and it does fall apart after a couple of seasons then as it's so cheap I've had my money's worth. If I buy the same aqua product but for three times the price and it only lasts just as long I'm gonna be proper pissed off.

Seems you buy cheap, you buy twice. You buy expensive you still buy twice. Might as well buy cheap.

Trouble is you will end up with a load of tatt that you are constantly replacing.

What when you buy aqua?

Seriously though. Take josh as an example, in the last few weeks he's posted about an aqua rucksack that didn't even make it out of his house without needing returning and now a shoddy quiver that's fallen apart on its first outing. So he's spending aqua money and still ending up with a load of tatt that keeps needing replacement.

Maybe the trick is being able too recognise quality and not tatt hiding behind a label.

Mixture of experience and reviews from people you know and trust. Price means little nowadays although quality usually costs.

I'm probably not the best person to ask as for carp fishing I use very little, Cotswold trident deluxe for rods, net and sling, esp medium carryall and cool bag does all I need from a day session to four days and nights.

On first inspection the Cotswold stuff looks expensive but it's worth every penny IMO. Having said that I have had Trakker stuff that is still going strong as well, luck of the draw with the mass produced stuff I'm afraid

Going back to the original thread, I cant see how Cyprinus have got round the Trakker patent for the quick erect bivvy as per the Tempest.

If there was a way round it, Fox would be all over it and using it in there bivi designs.

Waiting with interest.

Made in China, try taking a Chinese manufacturer to court for copyright infringement and you will end up bankrupt.

Cyprinus don't manufacture though I believe, they merely import the product and sell it on.
Aqua Products of old were designing and hand making their designs in the UK but when they couldn't keep up with demand tracker filled the void with mass produced product made under licence from aqua. When aqua first went too China they tried to kid us the product was still made in the UK, having laid off their UK workforce to now be having their product ripped off seems fair to me and I only wish someone would do the same with Dyson.

They confirmed to me they are working on a quick erect bivvy. I will wait for them to release it and then decide to go with it or a Tempest.

Too much hassle sending it back,so as I can sew I'll be re-sewing it.I know it will last now..
Gonna let Aqua know I'm not happy tho..
