How are you're syndicates doing for water, fished mine for 48 hours, had a couple of doubles out but water is dropping rapidly, they may close it soon!

Just under 3acres
15 members with only 4 of us doing nights.
30ish carp with 2 x 30s
In a private wooded location totally of the radar...
No monsters but idyllic carping these days.
And only 160 per season.
Had all the big ones in my first season but been a member for the last few years as its such a quiet lake that I really enjoy fishing - and I can take my lad with me at any time.

That's a great point. The beauty of syndicates/societies is that you can pick them for different reasons. One of mine is very serious, one of mine is a great laugh and the third one I have doesn't even have any thirties in it, but I get the place to myself so the size of the fish in it is irrelevant.
Very difficult to achieve this on busy day ticket and circuit waters.

My syndicate 6 acres 10 swims 25 members going up to 35 soon ,never failed to get on this year so far .

I wasn't asking out of pure noseiness, but trying to get a gauge on how many members to have on my place going forward.
For two years we had twenty members plus myself and a mate and it was fished so very little. Just 100 times last season and that's including people just fishing for a morning or afternoon.
Whilst I don't want it rammed, it would be nice to see a bit more angling going on, even if it was just a couple of guys on a Friday and Saturday night.
Judging by your responses I'd say that twenty should be about right, just a different group of people than before.

Help!!!! I'm in need of somewhere to fish, my syndicate is very low on water already and we've still a couple of months to before any amount of rain, as far as I know it will be closing any time soon, can anyone PM a space on a water in a sensible distance from Hastings area........................ thanks in advance, Dave

I think there could be quite a few places struggling this year, it has the feel of 76 about it.

A lot of the colne valley was very low last year. Lots of lakes had swim closures, or complete closures. The low water levels and bright sunshine might make the weed growth interesting later in the year. I expect a lot of waters to still be very weedy late sept into Oct this year.
