Best thing to do with a faulty bit of kit is to go back to the tackle shop if it's less than 12 months old.
Make them aware of Sales and goods act.
Ask for a refund.
I did this years ago when I purchased a Nash brolly which leaked after 11 months and got a credit note for the full value.

Most go and speak to the kiddy in Carphone Warehouse....where they bought it from.

So if you had a Vodafone contract through the carphone warehouse you wouldn't ring Vodafone then?
If these companies want to promote constantly on social media that they are making the latest greatest product then they should expect contact from people when it isn't upto the standards they constantly promote.
I spend a considerable amount of money on fishing gear but there are alot of products out their now where they are laughing at the consumer with the prices they are charging.
No one can argue that the standard has improved. Bivvies may have improved in design but have taken a massive step back in quality.

No, because it's not a physical item that requires a courier for replacement and/or shipping. If I drop off a rod to a tackle shop for replacement, I won't have to pay the courier fees. I'm pretty sure your consumer rights are in better stead going with the place of purchase rather than the manufacturer.

we seem to buy so much of our gear online nowadays and returning a faulty bulky item is a pain. I recently purchased a Trakker tempest Advanced 100 Bivvy online.
The carry bag had a hole in it and the zip on the bag was a bit dodgy. To send it back to the shop would have been a pain..... so I tried to contact Trakker to maybe send a replacement bag. I found it impossible to get any details to do so. I gave up and just put up with a dodgy bag.

Fishing Bivvies have got to be the biggest rip off in carpfishing. Some company's are now charging nearly a grand for a tent!!!
How long are they guaranteed for?
And let's not forget the hassle, back and forwards swapping them, not good for customer relations with the tackle shop either. Your paying top dollar for it let's not forget, you expect top end reliable kit, that's why you pay a premium, end of
I wouldn't slate a company for the sake of it but I've had my fill with Trakker. I have had a few grands worth of there gear. No more, I've posted the problems I've had before, straight off the top of my head, 6 plus faulty tents and they were all virtually new
And for the record I have a V3 armo now, got it delivered, aquatex damaged on the roof panel, tiny, about the size of a 5p but that is not the point, ****ing rubbish

Take a look at the new sonik range,material on the bivvy is superb and at less than £250 for a quick erect bivvy imo is value for money.I have a trakker v2 bivvy and skullcap used it for 2 nights in total,I might get rid and get the sonik

I have seen them in the shop, material feels cheap. Going for nearly them price as an aquatex armo was too, probably more when you have done adding all the bits!
Will have a nosy mate when I need one
The cyprinus is worth a look too. I have a DPM compact, spot on for the money
Edit - Had a google Braders, is this the AXS Bivvy you are talking about? Looks like a tidy bit of kit and a reasonable price too.
I have seen them in the shop, material feels cheap. Going for nearly them price as an aquatex armo was too, probably more when you have done adding all the bits!

Just goes to show how the big names are pulling our pants down.It took me a few attempts to get a v2 bivvy with no issues,at the price they charge it should be right first time

Wasnt trakker selling the v2 and getting loads of people backing them getting them repaired and selling them as seconds if I remember correctly
