Not possible if it's overgrown and very few swims and suffer from water levels and it's never happened to me as I Chuck food in edge to try to get them away from my areas,I'm saying in general also including other birds who can dive and pick up a bait.

I think in this case its going to be One more Cockup for Ali as the presidering general of opinion is people are unsure the safety of the item.

Most of the big res's and old Industrial Lakes/Lodges around here in Lancashire, you would need a bloody snorkel to un-hook in the margins

Reading all these comments I don't understand why everyone is getting so twiggered by a piece of terminal tackle....... 
Lead clips can get hooked in nets, leadcore can get bunched up with debris and lock up in weed! So many things CAN happen but generally don't!
It's good to see actual lake owners trying the product and making a decision on its safety rather than jumping on the “ I don't like Ali “ bandwagon........

I dont think it's a don't like Ali bandwagon,it's good some fisheries are giving it a chance.I worry about the idiots using it more than the product itself,I can't see some of the idiots out there unhooking fish in the net after their tenth can of Stella and fourth spliff

I don't think it's a hate OMC or Ali , but the promotion attracts comments as enthusiastic as the hype . It's relentless being told every item is the best you can get but it builds a following . Ali is very good at it , and all the other stuff is just normal carp gear , but this item is causing so many comments because as a fish product it a step to far , well for me anyway.

Thats upto the fishery owner to check rigs,I do think this twig adds a bit too much risk to a set up but time will tell

The daft thing is that you have to search out the marketing to be exposed to it. It's not like the adverts on ITV or in a magazine like Carpology; with these you have to put up with it while viewing or reading the content. To see OMC marketing their products you have to watch their own Youtube videos or follow their own social media.
People actively search out and watch the videos, then come on here to whinge about how Ali is a pain in the backside and everything is overhyped

One of my concerns with this device is that often you get liners from fish brushing against the line, fins picking up the line, fish feeding next to the bait and sort of side cheek the bait or if they flank on the spot, if they happen to hit the hook link this could triggers the rig and you could get foul hooking anywhere on the fish which could cause a lot of damage. I'm surprised that I haven't read this concern anywhere yet.
