The comment that I've seen on various platforms is that Ali wouldn't release something that was potentially harmful to carp, which he clearly has.
This just goes to prove that there are many anglers out there who can't look at an item or rig and see any inherent flaws.

The truth is it will sell in the thousands marketed as something that will catch carp that you would have not have . There are people new to carp fishing or jumped stait into it who buy readymade everything, have limited time on dayticket waters who want to put any advantage out there , it's aimed at them I suspect .

I agree totally with you this "Twig" thing is just asking for problems, I just can't get my head around what he was thinking

Where do you draw the line?
There's "dangerous" items of tackle on every shelf and stand in every tackle shop in the country. Rods are dangerous since they might get you electrocuted. Hooks, knives, gas, leadcore, miles of extremely strong braid or mono, carp sacks and retainers etc, and the vast amounts of bits and pieces that, in the wrong hands can easily make death rigs. The idea that shops should be policing products that are legitimately available to market is unworkable.
In my opinion, the only reasonable censorship / banning should be instigated by fisheries that don't want a product used at their venues; that could be the magic twig, or leadcore, or barbed hooks, whatever they choose. If enough fisheries ban it, then a product will end up discontinued anyway.

OMC have now posted footage of a carp being caught using the twig.... someones slowed the video down... guess what.... the thing doesnt even operate! The arms stay in and its actually the 4oz lead that nails it.
