Even putting to one side the obvious increased possibility of fish damage the practicalities of it aren't good either. To fish any distance the arms need to be pva'd, now I'm not a bad caster but we all need a few attempts to hit the spot so how's that going to work, re tying pva to a wet magic stick with wet hands after each cast ??!!
And if fishing a weedy water, he says the prongs bend back and snap when going through weed and even if the survive that they're then likely to go through the mesh of a landing net, again he says they will snap when bent back, so you've now netted your fish, a prong goes through the mesh, the fish trys to power off in the net and supposedly the prongs bend and snap. At 3 or 5 quid each not only are they not good for fish welfare, they'd be a ridiculously expensive way of fishing if you fish a weedy lake and catch a lot of fish ??!!

They won't snap or bend back in the mesh. The mesh will catch on the end of the arm nearest to the main body of the twig. The strongest part. The angles will be totally against it snapping. It will catch nearly every time, often at the top of the mesh. They know it's a big problem hence the back peddling re everybody should unhook the carp in the net in the water.....which most don't do!

As I said, even for us that do unhook in the net you can not account for a fish powering off in the net after you've just netted it, it's a product that's not needed and will cause a lot of issues ...

Can't help thinking that Mr Hamidi will be grinning at the fact that this thread runs to 8 pages after just a few days.

That thought occurred to me too . A missed market opportunity no doubt.
Might be a market in the American prepper/ zombie apocalypse market; but they probably just use circle hooks,which do the same job. If your going to catch a fish , and come back a day or two later ,to kill and eat it, fish safety kind of goes out of the equation.
