A fully unlocked ND2 with ND Sonar and range extender is cheaper than a Quest . . .
And if you're willing to negate warranty, a pimped ND2 (with autopilot unlocked) and Raymarine / TechAdvision Red or Blue Sonar with Voltmeter / Hopper lights fitted etc is still cheaper than a Quest . . . also Tri Hull (more stable) / takes loads of aftermarket accessories (ie bait spreaders / cams) and doesn't require in-situ charging - maybe one to consider?
I've heard on the grapevine Toslon are bringing out a new 'smaller' boat imminently . . . if it has the reliability of the XBoat (but not the enormous size) it may be worth the wait . .

Smaller X Boat sounds very interesting. I was considering the Quest to replace my ND2 but will hold fire for a bit!

Just brought a quest matt. Better than the nd boats just sold mine.
Its a lot more money but there's a lot of boat for the money. Be better customer service. They pay for the post of the boat if it needs to go back lots of benefits

I could only find sypdertech that dealt with the techadvision stuff but they said they only fitted them to the x boats
The red techadvision the cheaper one would be the one for me as that shows hardness os the lake bed the blue doesn't. I just don't know where I'd get the techadvision red fitted to the nd3 boat

Leigh SD at SE BBoats supplies and fits TechAdvision - Red is currently available (similar to DragonFly) and Blue (similar to Elements) available in Oct I think; much smaller components than RM and therefore easy to install - I think Blue does everything Red does with the addition of side-scan? ND2 is still a valid investment if you want to 'pimp' with better sonar as like XBoats they are easy to fiddle with . . .

When I spoke to spydertech they said the blue has side screen but doesn't show the hardness or softness of the lakebed like the red does which i thought was a bit odd.
I'll definitely give that a look though. Is the red techadvision better than the sonar on the deeper?

I had one and it was excellent. I sold it in the end (joined a new syndicate with a boat ban) to a guy who was trying to sell a tolson.
The tolson is an absolute beast of a boat and the weight of it was eye watering. I wouldn't want to lug it around. I can understand why he wanted the quest.

Ive had my Quest for just over a year now and cannot speak highly enough of it.
The battery life is insane, the app/sonar/gps does everything you need, and you get tons of extras with it.
I had a little issue with the on/off button for my controller, and the customer service process to ship it back to them to be sorted was absolutely great.
The only other very tiny criticism I have is that the rucksack it comes with is massive!
Luckily I found that it fits like a glove in a solar undercover large carryall so I just use that.
When you compare it to every other option on the market in terms of performance/price/package it beats them all.
I think its a complete no brainer. Buy with confidence.
