As Gerry said, Bulletproof. I spooled up with it the other day and have done a session with it, I have to agree with him, reckon it's the return of Catana. I got the 0.35 15lb, says it good up to a 4.5oz lead.

Well, I'd guess that 27-32 wraps with 12ft 3.25 rods was pretty much a struggle with anything other than thin tapered mono and you must have a leader as it'll be a matter of time till you crack off otherwise. If you want strong line at those distances you'll need serious distance rods for a start and it's 'snaggy'? 0.30 line is no good at all no matter what the manufacturer claims.
Look at tackle box line tests for actual bs of lines.

Yes, i always use a braided schock leader to prevent crack-offs and thinner line to achieve the distance. I will most likely go with the Solar one or spool up the Technium again

One more thing - do you think that 1000m 0.31 will be enough to spool on 3xShimano XTD14000 with the reducers - 10000 maybe? or 3500

I would say fractionally lighter than Catana. One of those colours that will blend in nicely with any background.

Personally for normal fishing in this country unless your boating out a long way on a big pit I see Zero point in putting more than 250yards on a reel so I just use a line counter to load the 250 and the required backing line
so loads 3 reels and 250 spare if the worst should happen and I needed to respool one
and on my river Trent barbel fishing 150 yards is plenty but I put 200 but thats really overkill

not sure what Rob ((post 19 ))
was using before might have been ESP he is normally switched on the best worth asking him as he could be the 3rd person to switch and find it better
