Found the Flambeau box on Ebay and almost immediately got an offer of a £1 off, so went for it. Perfect size for the Squirmz, it's all loaded up so I'll let you all know if it goes horribly wrong!

@finbob, apologies I hadn't seen your reply, yep that's a idea. The Mrs also had me looking at those resealable file hole punched types, like you sea for sea fishing rigs (similar to the Fox ones). She works in stationary so knew what they were called which helps

For now they sit in packs....annoying me

Resurrecting an old thread. I'm looking to do the same this year as the OP. Does anyone have any recommendations on an up to date rod? The plan is to wonder round a local lake for the day with weedless creatures and the like. Nothing too expensive.

I've heard good things from friends about the 'rigged & ready' rods, might be worth a look

I've not done any drop shooting personally but am an avid lure angler.

I don't own any personally what I've seen/a limited bit of experience with them the wychwood agitator lure kit takes some beating for the price. My first thought would be to check out the agitator drop shot rod (about £50) and pair it with a little Okuma Jaw or Daiwa Ninja (around £30).
