For carp fishing I have a pair of 8inch straight nose forceps, which are occasionally needed. Sometimes the hook is in a position that getting a grip can be difficult, so my Bahco Multitool is always handy as well, for carp and pike fishing.
I know what OG means, many hooks, even barbed do simply pop out under a bit of finger or thumb pressure.
Oh, the other essential, a pair of side cutters for when the hook is a real deep hookhold, usually in bone or hard mouth tissue, when you have to push the point through, snip the hook itself and then pull the eye back out.
A rarity, but I've had a few!

I always have a couple of discorgers with me for this. No need for anything fancy, just a cheapo one for £1 that has a big enough end to fit a size 6 hook.
