I have a tempest as a back up, but I find it too big for what I really need. Yes the extra room is nice, but not essential

It could be me but the solar looks as big as the tempest they are both 60 inch I wanted a 50 really but not made anymore so a 55 would be ok using it for days and nights lake and the river
and thought the solar was 55 so ordered one

i found out after it's a 60 so I have 2 x 60 inch shelters which I didn't want I think the ideal size brolly is the aqua but far to expensive

the Solar dimensions are 264cm x 150cm x 150cm what are the dimensions of your Tempest ? as I dont know what model you have ?

the solar is only 150 deep and to me that makes a big difference on a river peg as most are on a slope where I fish and of course far superior height especially as I fish with rod tips high

Yes makes sense on the river I was just a bit surprised that it was a 60 the idea was the tempest would be my bivvy front on g / sheet full set up and the solar would be for days nights on the river no front no sheet
as it is I feel I have 2 bivvys I might as well just used the tempest for everything a 60 for days on a chair is a bit ott

in that case I would get rid of the hobbit house as the Solar can do it all
