Marvelous system had mine until it fell apart as well which was a good many years, fished in the worst storm I've ever fished in under the Big Z on St Johns many many years ago I loved that brolly except the joys of skinning your back on the center boss, great material, they released the MOD after not even half as good.

Wonder if we were on the complex at the same time? I'm talking circa 2003 probs - remember sitting it out on one of the arms and ****ting myself; my mate was under a Nash Oval and it got blown away lol - he spent the night drenched on the gsheet cramped up in my Big Z with the front zipped down . . .

Would of been around the same time and it was probably the last time I ever fished Linear, I was round by Henman's Hill with a mate, he forgot his bivvy and it was a four hour round trip for him to go and fetch it, as it was Friday after work I said to him if we fold the bottom foot section back on our bedchairs slightly elevate the head section (old locking wheels in them days) we would squeeze them under the Big Z with the front on which we did and attempted to sleep that night like this, I had four of the Gardner storm sticks with brass collars and thumb screws they had awesome auger points on them the storm was brewing as we were setting up so I wound them in a good 8 to 10 inches.
By around 10.30 that night the winds were getting right up by now you could feel it was going to be a wild old night, by midnight it was apocalyptic the only way I can describe it the ribs on the brolly were bending right in the front was like a lorry's side sheet flapping ten to the dozen but it held firm never slept a wink though, woke up, packed up and went.

Lol was around the last time I ever fished Linear as well - that was a sesh on St Johns but a totally different story. Big Z system was rock solid - loved that brolly; swopped it for a Mk1 Armo . . .
