I found them for around a tenner at the time,stainless steel blade onion chopper.It was exactly the same and worked just as you describe

Miltimat kumfi,like a gardners kneeling pad ,use it to sit on ,kneel on for fish pics ,a feet mat if your not using a ground sheet ,a back support in a rucksack great bit of kit ,approx a fiver..

Same company as above ,3x 25 adventure SIM mats ,..avoid...
