I know people look down on mainline and cell, as being a "pub chucker" type bait, used by nobody's.

But it does catch a hell of a lot of carp, super soft, super digestible - I don't think you can go wrong with it really.

Unless anybody has any actual evidence that it has sawdust in it - I think it's people just talking nonsense.

But surely it would float if it's made of sawdust

The whole sawdust thing has been a long standing joke... I don't think anyone really takes it seriously tbh.
I would say that on one particular lake I fish, a lot of it has been used... And it has failed miserably. But the fish in that lake do have a very significant preference for fishmeals, and other similar 'cell type' baits have also performed very poorly.

Never really been a user or a fan of the cell I did win a £250 mainline voucher from carp world Years ago but asked them if I could change it to pellets and stick mixes and particles think I won it 2/3 times and once went with the new grange fished it glugged in bailey's and done well on the river itchen with it,oh and a subscription deal with carpology where I got 10kilos of cell and magazines for £90 but plan was to use it to pre Bait not actually fish with it.I know the one lot I won I sold it to guy I used to go to school with as I was moving back to midlands when I won it so had no where to keep 10 kilos due to lack of freezer space

People don't mean actual sawdust, it's just a saying for a bait that is made cheap and does not contain much in the way of nutritional value. However the bait is made up it's certainly going to go down as one of the most successful baits ever made, I've never used it so I personally can't comment to it's quality but I'm sure a list of its ingredients is on the bag. How much of it is at meaningful levels I have no idea.

Like I said, pretty sure Geoff has a fair Idea of what's in it!

Yes... Totally agree.... Can't put Creamino in the same bracket. Bloomin spicy bait, nice rich cream undertone.
Not used it but seen it catch quite well on one of the Reading pits. Impressive bait.
Are you sure?
