I have a set of the original R1 3.25 and can hit 154 yards with a 3.5 oz lead and single bait.
I absolutely love the rods and hopefully they will outlast me !
I also had to have a tip section replaced and could not fault Tom's service, this was a number of years ago now.

I have a set of Free Spirit S-Lite IVEs 13ft, which are great - think they're around £250 each from Johnson Ross, can totally vouch for them.
