In all fairness, they did give by far the cheapest price, and collected it bang on time the next morning. So ill give them the benefit of the doubt for now and let you all know how it pans out.

One thing i would never do is post after wed as if they dont get there by friday god knows where they will end up for the weekend !!!

Fed ex are just as bad 2 years ago I ordered 2 torrix custom rods and they got sent to an address that was similar to mine but mine is a street not a crescent,nearly £500 for 2 rods and they guy they delivered to rang me as my number was on label and he sent it next door to him and I went and collected it in the evening.
I complained to fed ex but they didn't want to know but tackle box offers me a gift voucher to use so good service from them even though they wasn't at fault

Well ive got an update for anyone who's interested.
The rod was posted on the Thursday morning and arrived with the buyer on the Friday afternoon. I asked the buyer if the packaging was in good condition still and it was all good so from my perspective it wasn't a bad experience using parcel2go and tuffnells

Years ago I serviced the fire extinguishers at a Tuffnells depot and the lorries.
While there I saw some of the parcel handling, jeez, I am surprised almost anything gets delivered unbroken.
It's not just the handling by staff, but how cages are packed and put into lorries.
Best I have found for parcel are DHL and UPS, but not cheap
