A lot of people using bait screws and cork ball pop ups inadvertently break the last rule, my syndicate allows cork but must be tied even plugged bits which makes sense.
It's why I think supergluing cork to hooks for surface rigs is stupid

pretty much any line sold at a diameter of 0.40 will break in the 20lb area.
GR60 was always regarded so highly for its abrasion resistant purely due to the fact it was massively misbranded. An 0.40 15lb line? not a chance.. IIRC GR 0.40 has broken as highly as 24lb in some cases. there are far better lines out there with regards to abrasion resistance BY DIAMETER, not stated breaking strain - such as GTHD.
always best to buy off diameter really. 0.35 will be a much more accurately rated 15lb line.

I've literally just spooled up with OGX this morning .
First impression is it's a very limp soft line and easy to handle .
Nice trans green that darkens with moisture.
I've used one 1000 metre spool and done 3 spools with plenty spare .
It's got markers on so you also know where you're at .
I soaked it for an hour in Luke warm water , however it was limp and soft as soon as I opened the tin .
I may not even use it this season as I like to fish braid at medium range , however it's in the armoury now should I need it .

I've have had it on my reels the past 2 seasons (2nd season now).
Went on lovely, landed fish up to 40lb from a snaggy pit etc. Was very happy with it.
Had no issues with it up until the past 2 sessions.
I have a massive amount of line twist now. Struggling to get it out. I have stripped and topped up with some new line off the spool and I still have it. Going to walk the lines out over the field over the weekend, give them a good stretch and wind back on under tension to see how it goes.
I think I have read a few others having the same but this is new for me.
If I can't get it out I'll probably go back to either GR60 or good old Sensor as I had no issues with either of those. Just fancied a change when I initially tried the OGX.

Yep, got one of them and that will be used.
Easier for me to walk them out in the field outside my house than find the time to get down the lake and not get in anybody's way.

I struggle to understand the no artificial bait rules and cork bans, how many people use bait companies that produce high boyancy popups made with Glass bubbles then throw this in the water when putting fresh on?
would it also be fair to say that attached to an artificial bait is a sharp bent piece of metal that could do far more damage if ingested?
Just seems bizarre to me
