Lipos should be stored safely when not in use clearly he made a mistake there 👍🏼
Though they may make the boat lighter so much that it may effect the props (being partially out of water so you end up adding weight ! )

Tanya is in my opinion the experts in battery tech worth having a convo with them. Answered my questions to a decent degree. Took a little time but very professional imo.

Also some the early llion batts exploded and caught fire until they improved the tech It's a old wives tale making out lipos are always exploding usually born from a copy and paste internet post .Mine are under my stairs in a tackle bag and are charged in the kitchen .All my pals have them including people I know who race cars and fly RC planes who have far more experience than we have .Keep buying overpriced battery's if you believe the drama queens .I advise saving a packet and getting them from hobbyking as I was advised.All batteries come from China anyway as they are the only country processing the raw materials .
