I've asked a couple of times in the tackle shop about these. But they've said both times that they've not been given any date, specs or price etc on them. I'm beginning to wonder if it's just Chinese whispers.

It's not,I had an email from them to say it is definitely going to be released.They did say they are massively busy with the bigboy tri-porter and the other power porters but the mk2 powerporter is next to be sorted out

Avid was kind enough to send me a spare pair of forks so I can have my barrow in passive or powered mode whilst discussing it with them they did say that they where working on a power barrow.

Whys that? I found the prestige low loader was decent, gave it to a mate and purchased a transit X and prefer it.

Everything I have ever had made by Avid has been utter junk.Solid bag stems,leads that all the coating came off,line that snapped if you sneezed by it,a marker float that split into two pieces.Oh and a tackle case thing that the zips fell off

Oh so some terminal Tackle is not to your liking. Can't say I've used much Avid kit.
I have had a restbite and benchmark they where decent enough admittedly not a patch on the Solar then again the Solar was an extra £100
I prefer the transit x to the prestige mk 4 just couldn't get on with it.
Anyway as I have the transit 2 bag and my kit fits well on the transit x rather than buy either one of the two power barrows it was more economical for me to upgrade my barrow and have a more powerful wheel hub than the Nash.
I do think if you have a barrow you get on with its better to upgrade that than buy one.

their beds have a habit of bending and issues with the legs slipping.I hope the barrows are built better,does the kit you're buying only fit that barrow or is it a universal fit for other barrows too
