In that point, I've seen fish spook off h block markers with normal line on, and when changed to thick cord they loved it, even rubbed on it and the float would Bob away like mad, Anyway I digress lol

I'm looking for a braided mainline that will be able (at times) to cast 100-130yrds on the fishing rods (spod/marker all sorted with Daiwa J Braid) - will the Gardener Sink Noir be suitable for that?

I think you only need to camouflage the last 50-60m of faded braid. I use colour-fast wide nib felt tip pens.
