I've been using fox micro swingers for years.
Awesome indication for dropbacks and standard runs.
Also fantastic for windy conditions.
Just upgraded to the new versions which are a lot smaller and sit great.

You can still buy the MCF Rattlers, I liked them but at the time had a couple of missed takes when the rain froze on the shaft, I now know a quick wipe of WD40 will fix that👍👍

ND bobbins , yes I know all the ND haters will be pointing and laughing , but heavy , white , and can be fished like a Stow where it clips to the line . I had a dropback from a long way , showed up ok .

In what way ? , boated my baits out at 140 and 155 , they worked fine , pulled out the clip and stayed on the line as it run through it 👍 . Only used them on 2 trips , even up to 190 + yds .

I'm with Chris 4130. Been using the micro swingers to the exclusion of all else. They are instantly adjustable to suit all distances and register a drop back with positivity. I've always fished tight lines but am plucking up the courage to try a running rig and slack lines. The weight on the swinger can be adjusted to a neutral position and I'm hoping that because of the running rig it will not need to register a drop back as any direction should result in a forward take?

That is right, slack line and swinger at the bottom of it's travel, enough weight to make sure that the alarm sounds.
