I still use this sleeping bag also, shame they are not produced anymore and I store mine in this.
It's huge but I just sling it on my back when walking to a swim.

Storing sleeping bags compressed definitely damages the fibres & they will lose their thermal properties far quicker than bags that are stored uncompressed . I keep my sleeping bags either in the large storage bags if they came with them or a large bin liner in the loft.
