That's how I look at it.

Though apparently there are fines for not taking the test, not sending it back and not reporting the result

There is no requirement for reporting the results. I was called almost every day by the track and trace lot when I came back end of July, didn't ask for results and didn't phone again after day 8 or 9 I think it was

Anyone know the official procedure if you test positive in France, wanting to return to the U.K.?

I am booked with Eurofin for my 2 day test.
£20. With a 4hr drive in morning slot.
Warrington Area
Two of my neighbours used this testing site on Tuesday on returning from Corfu. Tested mid morning got results 9.30pm.
They gave me very positive feedback, only hassle was internet signal.

You won't be allowed to travel back and will have to isolate in France.

You won't be allowed to travel back until after the 10 day isolation AND then get a negative result

When you see the full Randox drop boxes I have to agree. It seems its more of a tax on travel then anything else

Post 15 is about right. You only need the code for your locator form. After that no one seems bothered as to whether you do the test.

Just to advise ordered on 18th August, could not contact Expert Medical, no information whatsoever, unable to ring (engaged all the time, tried over 50 times). Turned up today 27th August via DPD.

Try testingforall. org. Ordered an antibody test on Thursday, test arrived first post Friday, did test and posted it back same day, received texted results Saturday evening. £49.That's on a bank holiday weekend.
The Web site says they do a 2day/8day test package at £89.
Not the cheapest but with that service maybe worth a look.
