Ffs how hard can it be? Potential fish loss (paying to fish for fish that arent there any more) and risk of bringing virus home/to other waters with you... If it came in with the flood and same water flooded other lakes aswell. If I am not saying it did... It is just interesting to me... It doesnt have to be interesting to you... You can move on... Personally if I were owner in that area I would make sure it would be on my web site first news that I lake is ok.

The guys I see on the bank today are as passionate and courteous as any I've seen in the last 30 odd years. I don't know where you fish but it sounds ****ing awful mate.
Cheer up and enjoy some fishing. Carp angling is a beautiful past time don't you know.

The young guys brought up by korda, love them or hate them, are fantastic too. They take fish care seriously, and are passionate about safety, so im not sure what facebook post Dez gets his information from.

Just to mute the rumours that it was caused by anything Gigantica have announced, there are images showing the influx of flood plains from river banks breached. Now then, for the conspirators, sorry to ruin your day

Could be that not all the lakes flooded, the main lake did yet Korda road lake didn't the other side of the road, pretty sure Gigantica lakes anything for landing weighing and retaining are supplied on-site same as their Norton Disney complex for bio security, not a lot anyone can do if flooding of the lake is the issue, potentially all lakes have KHV it lays dormant in a fish until the right conditions sets it off generally poor water quality and stress.

Get a grip mate, the question was "why would anyone fish a water with the virus and risk transferring it", see post 8. My reply about Pavyotts is and was fact, ask the owner of Ashmead about it or do some homework on here as there is a long thread on it. It happened on other waters too.
Yes a lot of todays Carpers have no knowledge of the virus or care, Korda, Nash or Fox clones is a broad brush on todays carper that fish the likes of Pavyott's, dont take it personally.

You'd have thought that if the flood water contained enough khv in the water or in infected fry to cause an issue in Gigantica, then surely all the surrounding lakes and stock ponds would all have issues as well if they were flooded wouldn't they?
Or perhaps Gigantica is the only lake with the honesty and integrity to report it to authorities? If we're speculating...
