I have several NGT 38" as well though that I use for barbel . . .just as light and almost as good . . .

I've just had to use some long sticks for one of my club waters I've rarely visited due to no space for my pod. I already had the 48" NGT storm poles but just paired them up with a set of Cygnet buzz bars. Absolutely perfect. Augered points £22 buys you two.

Cheers everyone, think im just going to stick with my fox storm poles as there probably the best im going to get. Ive got a cygnet sky pod if the ground is to hard but hate taking it as it weighs a ton and the bag id bloody huge, much prefer single sticks on the river.
When I needed some long sticks, I just bought a couple of Dinsmore Arrow Points, just over a metre long, telescopic and that must have been about 12 years ago or more and they are still going strong today, and only £8.95 each.
They also do them with a spiral point for screwing in in two different versions. Spoilt for choice.

Defiant MPS carbon river pod looks good for your needs.

Already got a pod and dont really like them for the rivers. I prefer to space my rods out.
