Are these bait screws capable of screwing into a corkball? Guessing the bouyancy would be affected after a while though?

Yes they are. The plastic ones usually have a piece that seals up against the bait so it seals the hole if you are really worried. The metal ones is such a tiny hole and ive never had an issue, but ive never tried it with a bait for a really really long time.
