You'll never achieve a decent espresso out of an Aeropress if your trying to achieve something out of a dual boiler or pressure profiling machine but you can get an acceptable cup from fresh ground beans, the biggest thing is to use fresh roasted quality beans from a reputable roaster and use a quality hand grinder on the bank!
I like my Aeropress but I'm realistic in that my dual boiler machine at home is going to give far a superior coffee.

My wife prefers to complicate things in the morning.
Random question, I know nothing about coffee... on the bank I drink (lots of) cheap instant coffee and it doesn't keep me awake at all, which is good. This proper coffee, by comparison, does it have a higher caffeine content? If I have a large costa coffee I'm so wired it gives me a headache.
Aren't those aero presses made of plastic?

It does generally have a higher caffeine content but it does vary. What you get from a moka pot is stronger than what you get from a cafetierre or aeropress, but you (should) have less of it in a cup
There are a few half decent decaff options available.
Moka pots are pretty cheap to give it a try at home provided you don't have an induction hob

It does look good, but at the cost of 8 moka pots and with a lower capacity plus needing a kettle I think I'll pass
