I quite enjoyed most of them. Im not a nick helleur fan but it was quite relatable to me and that now empty stretch is where i caught my first 20, 25 years ago
I didnt like the scott lloyd one at all. Small water fishing but hes out in a boat putting H blocks out. I get that he's got the option so people will say 'why not then' but it strikes me as utter nonsense and isnt relevant to what anyones elses fishing actually is

I'd disagree to an extent, and think its a case of damned if you do damned if you don't etc. Not relevant to me, however I know of a good few lakes where boats are used and accessible, I suppose they are trying to cover all bases

Been fishing small lakes all my life and it's definitely not a true representation of small lake fishing. If boats were offered on a lake that hasn't got any weed then it probably wouldn't be for me. Certainly no need for h blocks etc

Just because there's a boat doesn't mean u need to use it and the same with h blocks. That lake was easily fish able without the use of a boat so I'd say its more about how he wanted to fish it

I thought it was odd using a boat on a little pond too. Takes away your ability to get the rod back out without a lot of faff. Get it done from the bank imo

I've had a lot of big carp mate, never needed a battleship on a Noddy pond to do it though.

May be a bit harsh, Yes a lovely little water, I've fished similar but the fact is that you are never very far from the fish no matter which swim you're in.
It's this that makes the blokes approach even more embarrassing, two rods no boats keeps it tricky at times. If you need half a day chugging around in a battleship on a water like that then there's something lacking in your ability.
Some might say it's a bit disrespectful to the venue, todays carper's probably wouldn't.
Sum's up where carping is at these day's if you ask me.
