Ok let's have some common sense here. I can't think of any companies that actually stand and roll your bait to order unless they are either very small and bespoke or you will have to wait weeks to get your bait. It's all well and good if you live local and can collect it on the day they are making it (well next day as it will need to dry). Generally bait companies roll one colour or flavour one day then swap to another the next day. And as for sending freezer baits, I have sent tons and tons and tons in freezer boxes, selected at 2pm one day, and at the customers the next day still frozen or chilled. There is no deterioration in bait in that state at all. All problems occur on a Friday so we never send out unless the customer pays for a Saturday special and takes full responsibility for being there to collect it! To say you don't want bait delivered from frozen is a bit silly when the hookbaits particles and pellets you use with it could be several years old! I'm an absolute advocate of really fresh quality bait as I have said on here for years, but we need to be realistic. The really big brands produce tons per day, ship it backwards and forwards, to shops, send it out in poorly insulated bags and yet they still catch plenty of carp. I'd still rather people came to collect but my mates in the north won't drive all that way when you can send it for 7 quid within 20 hours.....often within much less than 24 hours. Also I would add that a bait rolled fresh, then dried for 24/48 hours, then bagged for a day, then sent out for 24 hours without being chilled is in a worse state that one that spent 24 hours drying then frozen solid!

Even freezer bait will have a small amount of preservative in it & with the temps as they are it'll be fine !!

You don't have much luck with bait deliveries do you
I'm lucky in that I've got a very good company close to home and can pick up fresh bait, whenever I've fancied a change the delivery aspect has been so hit and miss I end up back at the same company
At this time of year its not really an issue though

How do you mean mate, not much luck?

I wouldn't want my bait turning up frozen I like to see it fresh in the bag just my preference. My rolling baits orders have always turned up fresh rolled to order unfrozen. It may take a few days longer but that's absolutely fine in my eyes.

ABS do, pretty sure Poachers do as well. Used/use both and they always tell me when they are rolling it and sending. Never turn up with condensation in the bags, which is a tell tale.......
