That's fair enough fella, for me I wont be joining again next season, it's a fair old drive for me, and turning up to a packed out lake is something I dont particularly want in life anymore. That said it is a good ticket for the money.

Yeah I get it, as I say I've spent years avoiding it, but we've just had our second child so need somewhere fairly cheap and close. Literally all of their lakes are around an hour from my house so not far at all

I'm due to start in April mate, when I spoke to someone at the club they said match was their busiest lake. Purely at a guess, I can imagine Mill Lane being very busy early part of the season until a few drop off once they realise how hard it is

Think match and south are pretty busy.

On mill lane there's a ticket system I think so at least you'll be guaranteed a swim but as others say it's meant to be hard water so can see people dropping off after spring

I'm looking forward to it tbh. I've got a 2 week old little girl at the moment so will probs spend first few months doing days dotted around venues, then once things have settled would really like to spend some time on Mill

I had a Farnham ticket 20 years ago it wasn't as rammed as what i'm reading here .. I think it was called Cut Mill the place I liked the most had a couple of nice fish out of there but you were never sure what damage would be done to vehicles in the carpark and it was a bit clicky over there not friendly at all ... 1 season was enough for me ..

I think that's Warren pond, looks a nice place. My ticket starts on the 1st so it will be nice to walk round a few of the lakes and get a feel for the place.

I've heard all the stories about Mill Lane being a funny place too, sadly you just never know whether it's true or locals making it sound rougher than it is to keep people off

I also really like the look of some of the Basingstoke canal stretches too

Bull to try and keep people away .

Just renewed my ticket for the 3rd year. It is fantastic value but unfortunately means the member count is very high. Be prepared for some very busy lakes, especially over the next few months. Match, Badshot lea and South Lakes very busy but seem to quieten down in the colder months. More chance if you can fish midweek or early on friday morning if you want to do the weekend.

I'm very fortunate to be a midweek angler which is why I've taken the gamble 🙂 to be honest I had heard about Match and South, so was more tempted by Nursery and Copse, Tarn Pond looks lovely too and the Stillwater lakes. There is plenty of choice and I can be relatively flexible with days as I run a pub, so I'm sure I will be able to settle on somewhere

Yeah I thought it might be mate, definitely be giving it a go when I have a bit more time!

I'm just restarting this thread to see if there are any more up to date views on the club. I'm in the area a bit for work and at the moment use my syndicate near Reading as a place for overnighters midweek but considering whether or not to renew that ticket as it's getting expensive (the water itself is awesome, but I'm trying to weigh this against what use I'm getting for my money). So I have been considering this ticket, which is a fraction of the cost and gives a good number of waters to choose from. I am aware of the KHV on Yately South which is a shame, and I would avoid those lakes. Any views or feedback much appreciated
