I use the Traction Pro in 3lb, cracking rods, great quality, cast well, but places I fish are about 6 acres max. Good playing action, full length butts, 40mm butt ring. And at £90 a go brilliant value, in my opinion absolutely no point paying more for sticks to do the same job.

Can anyone answer what the difference is between the FS CTX and S Lite, from having used them? They seem very similar.

I can't recommend the CTX enough. I've got them in 9ft and had fish from weedy waters up to 27, never felt like they were out of grunt. I use Harrison's as my main carp rod, but can't argue with the quality of the CTX, never felt like a budget rod.

Went for a pair of CTX's in the end. Thanks for the helpful input chaps.

Any reviews on the shimano TX2 in 10ft 3lb?

got the original tribal 10ft rods, 3lb tc, possibly the nicest rods ive used. Ultra thin handle, and will stop an express train. They are hard to find because everyone who got a set keeps them.

For me the Tx-2 is a overhyped stiff rod with ugly pink wrapings, Avid traction is alot better imo.

Greys GT4 10ft 3lb are lovely rods - paired with 5500 ci4s they're a pleasure to use, and can still stick a 3oz lead with 15lb synchro loaded a very healthy distance if needed.

Got a pair of Tacklebox 2.75 C-FX rods standard build as short handles ideal for me. Great rods for the price. These replaced a pair of Darent Valley 10ft 3lb rods which are now my pike ones, excellent for deadbaiting near in.

Seem short handled but you can get them customised, I like the spacing and handle size myself tho.if you want longer Very nice light thin blank the weave finish is brilliant. My only gripe is no line clip

I've only played a fish that hook pulled on them so far but the action is nice they cast well for the length even kneeling down had no issues getting the distance I need. I can take some pics and email them if you want a closer look

I use the 10' Darenth valley marker,spomb,device rod for my deeper it's really good if you don't have to cast far out, like small lakes etc.
They go with my Harrison 10' torrix customs cork I don't use big rods as I don't fish massive lakes or rivers
