Have the Mk1 Actor.
Added the Sonar, would not recommend that. Limited resolution and mine packed up. Tow a Deeper Chirp+ now, brilliant.
Little actor reliable, has caught me some decent fish by dropping hemp with my tiger....

I wouldn't worry about it - when I had an Actor Plus (the first release was a dog IMO so I shifted it quick) I removed mine by accident and they said it wasn't a problem and was just a deterrent to those keen on immediate pimping etc

Thanks mate, it's gone now - just gave it a wipe with a nail polish remover, however it melted the plastic a bit on the remote when removing that residue!

Well took the plunge today and ordered the the plus version so hopefully all good.
Can anyone recommend me an arm attachment for the deeper pro, seen a few on ebay but not unsure what one to get.

Their is one of eBay type in actor plus deeper arm it bolts onto the rear hook release and works well

To be honest the Ebay ones I have seen and used are pretty much all the same 3D printed and fairly fragile. They do work however.
I bought this off Amazon and use it in conjunction with a GoPro camera mount. The whole arrangement is a lot more robust.

I've had the Actor plus since it was released the main problem are the batteries at £75 a pop they don't last which is the flaw..had 5 so far and lost three.

Well my boat turned up today and I must say I'm very impressed to be honest for the money I paid for it.
Hopefully I won't get any issues with the battery's, is it the same with all owners of this boat having them problems.

Looking at buying the Actor plus basic but cant see any mention of a charger for either the main boat battery or handset being included?
Do you get every thing you need included in the box?

The actor plus comes with a mains charger plug and lead to charge the boat battery it just comes with a usb lead for charging the remote for some stupid reason boatman don't supply a plug which is stupid you need to use a 5v 1amp plug to charge the remote with the usb lead supplied . Boatman say not to use a higher amp plug as it will damage the board inside the remote . Also look at the actor plus compass version as that's a new feature they have added as that seems to sorted the problem of making the boat go straight as the normal actor plus does suffers the problem of not going straight have to keep adjusting it

I've just 're-bought' an Actor mk4i (after selling the original some time ago) mint 2nd hand for a silly low price to use on public waters / dodgy day-ticket day sessions where you feel a bit silly sailing out a bling white SB3 with all the trimmings . . .this ones the new compass variant so will see whether its an improvement over the original tomorrow on its maiden outing (tbf the mk4i was better in a straight line than the Plus anyway). . . if its anything like the original its a great, lightweight VFM tool for small waters and simple presentations
As for the Plus no thanks - once bitten etc

These boats are so light and narrow if you load them with a heavy lead / leader etc they can and do 'wander' which is not really an issue at short range but certainly is at anything over 80yds - chuck in some chop and it can become exacerbated.
Happy to report however that the new 'compass' (whatever it is - some kind of yaw calibration) works pretty well; had a day sesh yesterday with my new and improved mk4i and it def sails better in a straight line than the original - especially with the auto forward function - once this kicks in and you keep your line taught and rod tip high it straight-lines nicely.
Personally wouldn't use this boat on larger / wilder waters (its difficult to see over 80yds anyway) but for small waters its great
