Exactly right. I make sure my kid gets what he needs and generally what he wants and steer him towards
Good choices. Eg not a fekkin Electric Scooter. And make sure hes happy. I do just enough to keep the wife happy. And if I can nick something extra for fishing I do
But im also going to be cleaning the house from top to bottom. And shopping and cooking for 8 . And thats small this year. We have had 18 before now. Im not a grinch, i don't put other people down about it but I literally couldnt give a toss. For me, its just one long chore of extra work and expense.

Yep I normally do dinner for 8 or 10 only me and the wife this year should b going the carvan Christmas Eve so haveing it there suits us this year to do that I used to get a couple of weeks off work so that was good for the pub before Christmas and a good session fishing day after Boxing Day as long as I was back before new year not now have to work in between so no fishing and no pub this year so b a ñice long walk with the dog in the morning then a late dinner enjoy it no matter what it's been a s.??te year for us all
