Thanks for the response. I always try and use a ready made "unmodified" freezer bait for freebies that are naturally firm, this is advantageous as it will take crayfish longer to whittle them away. It also has the benefit of being an off the shelf item from the manufacturer, hence readily available and subject to any sales they have!!

Think I'll call them tomorrow to discuss.
