Recently acquired 3 x 3.25lb test Aircurves and I am very happy with them. Last night I was fishing small bags at 80 yards against pads and snags. Had a 36lb and they easily kept the fish away from the snags and the control of the fish was excellent.

And did they still bend? I was looking at the aircurve for specific this way of carping.

I'm sure the aircurves are a nicer allround rod, maybe the shimanos would outcast them though, all things being equal.

I have some free spirit CTX 3.25 which are great for close in stuff but a bit soft for bag work, so was looking at the Aircurve in 3.5 . Any users out there that can comment on this test curve ?

Definitely still bend. This was my first fish on them and I was impressed with the control of the fish and also how they performed with the fish under the tip.
