Very different to the UK I guess or more like it used to be a very long time ago. Carp fishing fortunately isn't that popular here and most carp waters are uncontrolled. Commercial waters are almost non-existent. There are syndicate waters, but not in huge numbers. There are club waters, private waters and public waters that hold carp, but only because of illegal stockings by anglers. Carp are considered an invasive species by the authorities and therefore no legal stockings are allowed. 40 lb carp are very rare and I think there has only been caught a small handful of 50's if not only a couple.
I don't mind fishing for twenties or even doubles and having no woodchipped swims as long as I have the waters almost all to myself. But if you want to go on a prolific big fish carp holiday or even just a carp fishing holiday, then Denmark will definitely be a disappointment.
