Are these the threaded bits if you were going down the none spring pin route? Only looks like the male threaded part and not the female bit or are they a complete unit?

I got them from eBay but they are truly rubbish at letting me share what I got. If you search this item number it should give you the option for male and female separately 253108150400

If you are still stuck I have some on my desk at work so could send some pictures on monday?

yep no problem, I use the smaller pole more that the large, but both work very well.

I've made my baiting pole with 20mm conduit - utilising the help from here and some PMs. I've used it to 18m so far and it is a bit of an animal to manage! I've made enough for a 30m pole.

One main issue that I've got - It's not stiff enough and I'm not sure what I can do with that. Makes it pretty difficult to steer once out.

Also, the male/female joints aren't hugely secure - I've used the same joints recommended on this thread.

Would love to hear from others who have got one working well.

Still using my original Cygnet baiting pole with a couple of extensions. Don't need 20m+ on the places where I use it so find it perfect for my usage. If I was to buy one of similar length again, I would go with a telescopic type though as much easier to extend/retract in confined spaces.

I've got the bushwhacker had it to 35m so far blinding piece of kit particularly being able to lock the lead in the back of the spoon for extra control when it's blowing a bit.

I'd love a Bushwacker but it's way out of my price range. I know others have got home made baiting poles to work pretty well which was the reason for asking for help.

It's the 12m plus range that I'm keen to try to make work with the conduit pipe one that I've made.

Any suggestions or help gratefully received!

First outing today of homemade baiting pole (thanks to a bit of advice from @bigappleslice), Despite it being windy it was a success and worked a treat. 20m pole for less than £50. Alas I left the lake with blankety blank cheque book and pen
