Last year I treated myself to some new rods but wanted a action similar to my old rods but in a newer blank. I also fish method feeders so was looking for a rod very similar to you. I plumped for 3.25lb Harrison Torrix in 13', though I'm sure 12' would be fine. My old rods were 12'6" 3.5lb Harrison Ballistas Ers, they would do the job for you and may be cheaper given they are a older model.
The Accurix is also a lovely blank but I fear the 3lb might be a tad undergunned with big method feeders. I did look at it and loved the action but the thought of pulling for a break on it...hmm, if they did it in 3.5lb I wouldn't have hestitated

Thank you, i think the torrix 3,25 would be perfect. Harrison seem to have a lot of love here!

As suggested I'd drop Steve at Harrisons a e-mail, he will be able to give you some great advice. I did visit the Harrison factory, I took my old rods to compare the action/bend under load to the newer blanks. If I hadn't of wanted a newer blank I would have bought Ballistas again, they are a fabulous rod, still very popular in Europe.
I have had 1 of my old Ballistas literally bent double with nowhere to go, how that rod didnt snap I'll never know!
My 3.25lb Torrix have been well bent so far with upper double scrappers in hit and hold scenarios, I think they have a lovely playing action for powerful fish. Having said that I am used to and prefer higher TC rods so I can see why some might say they're on the stiff side for less powerful fish.
There's always compromise with rods v situation, your scenario isn't 1 I envy, wild River Carp....on braid...those fish can move! The thought of the unknown, that I do envy 🙂
